Yes, the library does have some textbooks but not all textbooks that are used each semester. The text books that the library does have are those put on reserve by the instructors. If you would like to see if the library has the textbook you are looking for, you can check in the catalog.

  • Click on "search the catalog" from the library homepage, this will take you to the catalog
  • Click on the link towards the top of the screen that says "Reserves Search"
  • Use the drop down box and pick how you would like to search for the textbook (by title, course title, course ID or instructor)
  • Click search and look through the results

If the library does have the text-book you are looking for, head to the circulation desk to check it out.

NOTE: RESERVE TEXT-BOOKS CAN NOT LEAVE THE LIBRARY You may check them out for 2 hours and may only use them in the library. In the Bryan campus library, there is a copy room where photocopies can be made as well as a scanner for student use.  On the RELLIS campus, Blinn students can take pictures of the pages they need with their phones or may scan their pages to a flashdrive and then go to the Schwartz or Administration buildings to print them out.
