For our purposes, a database is a searchable collection of materials (newspaper, magazine, encyclopedia, academic journal articles, audio files, pictures, videos etc) provided by the library. Many of our databases have access to full text articles, and can be viewed from any location that has an Internet connection. Articles found in databases can be saved, posted to social media sites or printed. We have many different databases that have collections focused on specific areas of study (nursing, literary criticism, biology).  If you are unsure what database might be best for your assignment, contact your campus librarians and they will be happy to help you.
